June 4th Action on the Senate Floor
Every year, June 4th marks a momentous day for women’s suffrage in the U.S. Congress, but this year especially so. It’s the day in 1919 when the U.S. Congress passed the 19th Amendment and sent it to the states for approval. Then just 14 months later, 100 years ago this August, women were officially granted the Constitutional right to vote.
