ERA at the SOTU!
A note to let you know that many legislators attending the State of the Union tonight will be wearing the classic green ERA buttons worn for years by supporters. Last year our DC Director/Director of Outreach and Advocacy, Bettina Hager, rushed the pins to the members and we got iconic shots of the newly elected Democratic women wearing white–and our pins. This year Congresswoman Jackie Speier, who sponsors HJ Res 79, the bill to remove the time limit that will be voted on next week in the House, is bringing back that trend.
