Senate Adds 16 New Cosponsors to ERA Time Limit Removal Bill
Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) announced the addition of 16 cosponsors to SJ Res 6, the bipartisan Senate bill to remove the time limit on the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) that he co-leads with Senator Lisa Murkowski (AK). Included in those joining today: Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Minority Leader of the Senate, and Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
VA ERA Bills Are In And Maloney Wins Oversight!
Our sincerest congratulations to long-time ERA champion Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) for winning the powerful position of Chair of the Oversight Committee in the House of Representatives. She takes over from the late Elijah Cummings, who died last month. She becomes the first woman Chair of the Committee. Cheers!

It was thrilling to sit in the House Judiciary Committee Hearing Room today for Chairman Nadler’s impassioned opening–and to hear so many strong and moving remarks on why we need the Equal Rights Amendment from Committee members.
